River Murray System

17 October 2019

Reihaneh attended the seminar of 'River Murray System operations: drivers for change and key risks' as part of the University of Melbourne's Water Security Series 17 October 2019. From the early 2000s, some changes happened in the River Murray System, such as the introduction of the Basin Plan, recovery of water for the environment, increasing new irrigated agricultural products, channel erosion and climate change effects. In this panel discussion, they spoke about increasing the risk of not being able to meet all demands in the Murray-Daring Basin after these substantial changes.
